HowCalculate is a set of free calculators for people who run ads or sell things online. Put in your numbers, get the answer, and see exactly how it was worked out.

Why does this site exist?

Most online calculators give you a number and leave it there. There’s no formula, no sense of whether the result is good or bad, and no sign of where the fee rates came from. That’s frustrating when you’re making a real decision about a budget or a price.

So every calculator here shows its working. You get the formula, a few examples with real numbers, and a plain explanation of what the result means. When a number depends on something that changes, like a payment platform’s fees, the page says where it came from and when I last checked it.

Who am I?

I’m Ajay Kumar. I’m a freelance SEO strategist and content writer, and I’ve been at it for more than four years. Most of my days go on helping websites get found on Google and writing the content that does the work once people arrive. I also build small web tools, and this site is where those tools live. I chose ad metrics and seller fees because marketers and online sellers do this math constantly, and most of the calculators out there hide how they get their answers.

How do I try to keep things accurate?

I test each calculator with examples I’ve worked out by hand before it goes live. Fee calculators are checked against the platform’s own pricing page, and the page shows the date. Benchmarks come from named sources, and when sources disagree, I say so instead of picking a number that looks neat. If you find a mistake, please tell me. I’ll fix it and change the date on the page.

What is this site not?

The calculators give estimates based on what you type in. They aren’t financial, legal, or tax advice, and HowCalculate isn’t connected to any company mentioned here. The Disclaimer has the full wording.

It’s free to use. The site may show ads to cover its costs, and the ads have no say in the calculators or the writing.
