TikTok Shop Payout Schedule 2026: When You Actually Get Paid
Your first TikTok Shop sale is a great feeling, right up until you open your balance and see the money parked under “On hold” with no date next to it.
So when does your TikTok Shop payout actually land? TikTok pays you 1 to 31 days after the order is delivered, depending on which settlement tier your shop is in. Once TikTok sends the money, your bank usually needs another 1–3 business days to show it.
If you’re a new seller, expect the slow end: about 31 days. Established shops with strong scores can get paid as fast as the day after delivery.
Let’s break down why there’s such a big gap, and how to move toward the faster end.
How TikTok Shop pays you?
There’s no “withdraw” button to press. TikTok sends your money by direct deposit to the bank account you added in Seller Center, and it happens on its own:
- Every day, TikTok creates a statement for orders that have finished their settlement period.
- It then starts the payout automatically. There’s a $1 minimum, so payouts below $1 aren’t sent. They wait until your balance builds up.
- Your bank shows the money 1–3 business days later, according to TikTok’s Finances Page FAQ.
What you receive isn’t your full sales total. TikTok’s fees, creator commission, shipping labels, refunds and any reserve all come out first. If you’d like to see your real take-home before you list a product, plug the numbers into our TikTok Shop fee calculator.
The clock starts at delivery, not at the sale
This trips up almost every new seller. Your settlement period doesn’t begin when the buyer pays. It begins when the package is delivered.
Picture this. You make a sale on Monday, ship it Tuesday, and the buyer gets it the following Monday. Your TikTok Shop payout clock starts on that second Monday, a full week after the sale. Slow shipping quietly means slow money.
TikTok says it plainly in its Finance & Settlement 101 guide: the clock “always begins upon the successful delivery of the order.”

The 5 TikTok Shop settlement tiers
Every US shop sits in one of five tiers under TikTok’s Dynamic Settlement and Reserve Policy (updated July 2026). TikTok calls these “estimated” payout periods, so treat them as a guide rather than a promise:
| Tier | Estimated payout period | Who gets it |
|---|---|---|
| Express | 1 day after delivery | Out of probation, SPS 4.0 or higher, more than 500 orders delivered in the evaluation period (or more than 100 if your GMV in that period was over $10,000) |
| Accelerated | 5 days after delivery | Out of probation, SPS 3.5 or higher but below 4.0, at least 50 orders delivered in the evaluation period |
| Standard | 8 days after delivery | Out of probation, but not qualified for Express or Accelerated |
| Introductory | 31 days after delivery | New shops and shops on probation |
| Deferred | 31 days after delivery | Shops temporarily placed under security or compliance checks |
A quick note on the jargon. SPS is your Shop Performance Score, a rating out of 5 that reflects things like shipping speed, cancellations and how you handle customers. GMV is simply your total sales value.
TikTok reviews every shop on the 1st of each month. It looks at your SPS, how many orders were delivered in the previous 15–45 days (the evaluation period), and whether your account has any temporary restrictions. Based on that, your tier can move up or down. TikTok can also drop a shop into Deferred at any point in the month if it needs to run checks.
One thing to keep in mind: these are settlement times only. Your bank’s 1–3 business days come on top.

Why do new sellers wait 31 days?
Every new shop starts out in TikTok’s New Shop Probation Program. While you’re on probation, you’re in the Introductory tier, and that means a 31-day wait after each delivery.
Probation also caps how much you can sell. At the Beginner level, you can take up to 50 orders a day and list up to 100 products. From there you move through Standard and Premium to Pro, where the order cap goes away.
Don’t expect to graduate just by ticking off the checklist in Seller Center. TikTok also watches your fulfillment, listing accuracy, customer service and policy compliance. It can slow your progress, or even lower your daily order limit, while it runs account or security reviews. TikTok itself says there’s no fixed timeline.
There’s one more hurdle that many sellers don’t know about. You don’t even get a Shop Performance Score until you’ve completed 30 orders within 90 days, and without a score you can’t qualify for the faster tiers. So if you’re just starting, your first real milestone is 30 orders, shipped well.
Reserves: the money TikTok holds back
On top of your tier, TikTok may keep a slice of each delivered order’s settlement amount as a reserve. It’s a safety net for refunds and disputes, and it’s held for 30 days from the delivery date.
How much it holds depends on your reserve level:
- Level 1: 10%. For shops on probation, or with an SPS below 2.5.
- Level 2: 5%. For shops out of probation with an SPS of 2.5 or higher but below 3.5.
- Level 3: 0%. For shops out of probation with an SPS of 3.5 or higher.
After the 30 days, unused reserves are released to you, subject to any refunds, adjustments or restrictions on your account.
So if your first TikTok Shop payout looks a little light, this is usually why. The money isn’t gone. It’s just waiting a few weeks.
Example: what a $25 sale pays out, and when
Before we do the math, you need to know how TikTok calculates its fee. The referral fee is charged on what the customer pays, including any shipping they pay, plus platform discounts, minus sales tax. You’ll find the formula in TikTok’s referral fee guide.
Now let’s keep it simple:
- You’re a Standard tier seller with an SPS of 3.0, so your reserve is 5%.
- You sell one item for $25 with free shipping, which means the customer pays nothing for shipping.
- There are no discounts and no creator involved.
- Sales tax is left out, since TikTok doesn’t charge its fee on tax.
| Step | Amount |
|---|---|
| Customer pays for the item | $25.00 |
| TikTok referral fee (6% × $25.00) | −$1.50 |
| Settlement amount in this example | $23.50 |
| Reserve (5% × $23.50), held for 30 days | −$1.18 |
| Payout, 8 days after delivery | $22.32 |
Keep in mind that $22.32 only accounts for the referral fee and the reserve. In real life, other costs could come out of the same settlement: the shipping label you pay for when you offer free shipping, a creator’s commission, or Fulfilled by TikTok fees if you use FBT.
From there, your bank shows the payout 1–3 business days later. Around 30 days after delivery, the $1.18 reserve comes back to you, unless a refund or adjustment uses it.
What if the customer had paid $5 for shipping? Then the fee would be 6% of $30, which is $1.80. Shipping paid by the customer counts toward the fee.
That 6% is TikTok’s standard referral fee for most categories. For the full picture, see our guide on how much TikTok Shop takes from sellers. And if a creator sold the item for you, check average TikTok Shop affiliate commission rates to see what usually comes out for them.
Payout on hold, pending or failed: what it means
Head to Finances in Seller Center and you’ll see your money in one of a few states.
On hold means the order hasn’t finished its settlement period yet. TikTok gives three reasons: the package hasn’t been delivered, a refund or return is still open, or it’s been delivered and is counting down to its settlement day. The amount shown is an estimate and can change if there’s a refund or shipping adjustment. And if a buyer has an open return or refund request, that order won’t pay out until it’s sorted.
Pending is the one that worries people most. TikTok says it’s usually because your settlement amount has gone negative, often when refunds are bigger than your new sales. The negative amount gets taken out of your next payout, and things start moving again once your balance is back at the $1 minimum.
Processing means TikTok is sending the money to your bank.
Paid means TikTok has sent it. Your bank may still take 1–3 business days to show it.
Failed means the money didn’t reach your bank. TikTok’s payout scheduling page says it’ll retry automatically the day after you fix the problem.
A common cause of failed payouts is wrong or mismatched bank details:
- a mistyped routing or account number
- a closed account
- an account holder name that doesn’t match the name or business you verified with TikTok
Check these in Seller Center first. And if you switch bank accounts, know that any payout already on its way still goes to the old account. Only later payouts go to the new one.
How to get paid faster?
There’s no way to pay for a faster tier. You earn it with how you run your shop:
- Ship fast and always use tracking. The clock starts at delivery, so every day you save in transit is a day sooner you get paid.
- Get to 30 orders in 90 days. That’s what unlocks your Shop Performance Score.
- Once you’re out of probation, keep your SPS at 3.5 or higher to qualify for a 0% reserve.
- Aim for an SPS of 4.0 or higher. TikTok points to this as the key to better payout terms.
- Deal with returns quickly. Slow returns and high fault rates can knock you back to a slower tier.
- Avoid cancellations and late shipments. Both drag your score down.
You might also see Daily Advance in Seller Center. It’s offered through TikTok’s financing partner, Storfund, and can pay up to 80% of the shipment amount the day after you ship. Just be clear on what it is: a paid financing service, not a free speed-up. Storfund decides who qualifies based on your business performance. Check the actual costs before you sign up, and ask yourself whether waiting for your normal payout is cheaper.
Once you know when the money arrives, the next question is how much of it you keep. Run a product through the TikTok Shop fee calculator to see your real profit on each sale.
TikTok Shop payout FAQs
How long do TikTok Shop payouts take?
It happens in two parts. First comes the settlement period, roughly 1 to 31 days after delivery depending on your tier. Then your bank takes about 1–3 business days. Standard-tier shops have an 8-day settlement period, and new shops on probation have 31 days.
Can I transfer money from TikTok Shop to my bank account?
You don’t need to. TikTok sends your payout automatically to the bank account linked in Seller Center. There’s a $1 minimum, so payouts below $1 aren’t sent.
Why is my TikTok Shop payout pending?
Most of the time it’s because your settlement balance went negative, usually after refunds. TikTok takes the negative amount out of your next payout, and payouts restart once your balance is back at the $1 minimum.
Why is my TikTok Shop money on hold?
“On hold” just means the order is still in its settlement period. The package might not be delivered yet, a return or refund might still be open, or it’s delivered and counting down to its settlement day.
What is the minimum payout on TikTok Shop?
$1. Anything below that isn’t sent. It stays in your balance until it reaches the minimum.
Can I choose my payout day?
Some US sellers can pick a daily, business-day, weekly or monthly schedule in Seller Center. TikTok says the feature is still in testing and rolling out gradually, so you might not have it yet.
Does TikTok charge a fee to pay out?
TikTok’s payout pages don’t mention any fee for sending money to your bank. The deductions you’ll see are selling costs, like referral fees, creator commission, shipping labels and refunds.
Does TikTok Shop really pay sellers?
Yes. Payouts go out automatically by direct deposit once each order’s settlement period is over. Whether selling there is worth it for you is a different question, and our article on whether TikTok Shop is worth it walks through it.
